SOLACHROME™ High-SRI Topping

L.M. Scofield Company (Los Angeles, Calif.) introduced SOLACHROME™ High-SRI Topping, described as a heat-reflective treatment for exterior concrete.

The company says the topping is a patented, premium-quality system designed for projects where cooler pavement is desired, including theme parks, water parks, pool decks, outdoor cafes, plazas, walkways, sidewalks, and other settings.

The product is a trowelable, cementitious topping material that cures to create a hard, abrasion-resistant wear surface, the company says. In addition, it provides an appropriate topping for concrete where stenciling, embossing, or troweling of the surface is desired, and can be used to restore and beautify existing concrete flatwork while providing a high degree of solar reflectance and cooler pavement temperatures.

The product is described as easy to mix, with excellent flow characteristics, and is available in 24 colors.
